Green Springville has coordinated with the local school district on numerous projects, the most recent being the Green Roof installation for the district’s new Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) building. Joining the project in the design phase, Green Springville worked with building material companies and design consultants to develop the bid spec for a 1,000 sq. ft. vegetative roofing system. This green roof, installed in May 2020, will help preserve the roofing material, increase the insulation value of the roof, provide for pollinators, reduce air pollution and reduce the strain on the storm water system during heavy rainfall.
